The poet's heart spills onto the page,

Putting words to the emotions of life,

The heart of the poet is so alive,

And its words can cut like a knife.

The poet's heart is filled with pain,

But it also feels joy and elation,

Exploring the depths of the soul,

And feeling all the ups and downs of life's motion.

The poet's heart tells a story,

That can draw us in without fail,

A story with rhyme and reason,

That speaks of hope and despair in equal measure.

Hey, i'm the writer of these poems, and i have a goal: upload everyday some poetry from my big book of selfmade poems.
