The Poet's Dilemma: When Words Play Hide and Seek
Poem
I found a quiet moment, just for me,
A chance to dive into creativity,
To join the dance of words and rhyme,
Among the Vocal friends, in playful time.
A call came from the poetic crew,
"Come join us, we have a game for you!"
With pens in hand and minds ablaze,
They dared me into this lyrical maze.
But as I sat to weave my verse,
My thoughts began to wildly disperse.
The words I sought were shy and sly,
Like butterflies that fluttered by.
I called on muses, near and far,
Even wished upon a shooting star.
But silence echoed in my mind,
No clever lines could I find.
Then Abigail, with whiskers twitching,
Gave me looks that were quite bewitching.
She swiped her tail, a feline jest,
"Write it yourself, do your best!"
So here I am, with humble pen,
Trying to rhyme again and again.
This jumble of thoughts, a tangled art,
A patchwork quilt of my poetic heart.
I'm not sure if this is true art,
Or just a scribble from the heart.
But I'm glad to be part of this lyrical spin,
For in the end, it's the joy that wins.
So, friends, if you find this a mess,
Remember it's love, not just finesse.
And if you doubt, just wait and see,
Abigail's tail might come after me!
