Oh, pull me closer into your embrace,

With your soft heaviness and squishy surface.

***

You call to me with your fluffy cushions,

Strung across your canvas of comfort.

***

I wrap you around me after a long day,

Happy to be here once more.

***

The TV plays a movie in the background,

The fuzziness of my pajamas being the perfect compliment.

***

I grab my tea off the nightstand and sip it,

The hot liquid giving me goosebumps.

***

I rest my head down,

My eyes feeling weighted as I watch the program.

***

I slip into a deep slumber,

As the day shifts to night.

***
