The way ahead can be scary
You'll never know what comes next
Paths that eventually cross your own
Detours that lead us astray,
Barriers preventing us from even moving forward
And perhaps the scariest part of all is that...
These can exist within our minds as well
Your whole upbringing
Your way of life
It may not have been chosen by you
But now you believe in God and the books He's written in
Or you believe in those daily horoscopes
You follow the teachings of Buddhism
Or nothing at all
Whatever it may be, it's part of you now
Hold your belief system close to your heart
No matter what it is you believe,
You are still human with a consciousness only you will ever know
Don't worry about the roads untraveled
Make the best of the path you have paved
Explore your endless mind because it's the only on you have in this life
Seek the fulfillment you desire
Don't wait anymore
Time can be taken, but never put back
