Get in shape.

love your as-is body.

-----FAT!

men should be taught to behave.

don't dress naughty.

-----SLUT!

cover your greys.

be proud of your age.

-----OLD!

you should read more.

don't read smut on page.

-----SINNER!

enjoy your wine - live your best life

omg you're so selfish, you don't deserve all that time!

-----NARCASSIST!

low rise jeans make you look trashy

you think you're cool?

you weren't even cool in the 90s?

-----POSER!

leggings aren't pants

but athleisure is a trend

-----LAZY!

no wonder it's hard to be a woman

when the goal posts only bend

This poem powerfully captures the contradictory expectations placed on women in modern society. The phrase "when the goal posts only bend" perfectly illustrates the impossible and ever-shifting standards women are held to. It's a frustrating, relatable, and sadly accurate observation. :)
