The Panic

Can you feel it?

My chest is aching.

My heart is pounding.

My stomach is twisting.

I want to scream.

The blackness inside is bursting out of me, its splashing onto the walls.

The dark lack of color coats the ground at my feet.

It’s dripping from my mouth.

My eyes close.

“Are you okay?”

It’s everywhere.

The sound is deafening I try to cover my ears.

My body doesn’t move.

“Hey! Are you alright?”

No, no, no, no.

Can’t you see the pools of shadows?

Can’t you hear the noise?

Can’t you feel the world shaking?

Can’t you-

“Hey!”

I blink.

I blink again.

I breath.

Swallow.

Smile.

“Oh yeah. I’m good.”
