Memories of You

The nights are the hardest to bear,

When the loneliness creeps in and the world's not there,

And all I can do is sit and stare,

At the pictures of us that I hold so dear.

I remember the days when we were together,

The laughter, the love, and the joy that we shared,

But now all that's left is the pain and the sorrow,

Of a love that was lost and a life that's so hollow.

I wonder if you still think of me,

If the memories we shared still hold the key,

To the love that we lost and the life that we dreamed,

Or if all of it's gone, just a distant memory.

But even in the darkness, there's a glimmer of light,

A hope that one day we'll make things right,

That the pain of separation will finally subside,

And we'll be together, side by side.

Until then, I'll keep holding on,

To the love that we shared, even though you're gone,

And I'll keep praying for a better tomorrow,

When the pain of separation will finally go.
