The Other Side
Missing those that are no longer with us.
I can’t wait to join you on the other side.
A thought so strong sometimes I want to
speed things along.
I know that is not how these things work
But I just can’t bear another day on this earth.
Without you I feel lost and alone
no matter the amount of people or the support
a relationship so rare no friendship can compare.
The other side stays on my mind like repeat
I know I’ll be happy again the day we meet
I will hold on and be strong
Because I know once I reach the other side
Our bond will be reconciled.

The steps to losing a child
Step One: Lose a child. Not what anyone wants to happen and nothing you can do to change it, but you can go through steps to becoming happy again. You can go through steps to loving again. You can go through steps to become a new you because after losing a child you will never be the same person you once were.
