The ones we’ve missed

It’s in those moments, lost alone,

In thoughts of family, and of home,

Remembering times, of days gone by,

Oh my how time, does really fly,

The people we love, are always in our thoughts,

Where future meetings, are always sought,

It’s been a year, we’d like to forget,

And what we’ve missed, is our one regret,

But looking forward, with optimism,

And closing this gap, we’re totally driven,

To plan ahead, when we meet again,

We’ll travel by car, or sea or plane,

Thoughts of embracing, those we’ve missed,

We’re already making, lots of lists,

Of people and places, we’d like to go,

If only we could, do this tomorrow,

It’s never easy, being away,

From those you love, not a single day,

But change is coming, it’s in the air,

And good times again, we will all share.
