The one I loved, destroyed me

The one I loved, for her happiness I separated from her, died in her memories, but couldn't kill her thoughts

Emotional Reunion

You had a great desire to separate,

you had a strong determination to go away.

I fulfilled your desire with a smile,

I distanced myself from you once again.

You must have realized,

when I was not near you,

your mischievous eyes must have searched for me,

perhaps you thought of a mischief to destroy me once again.

Will we meet again at some turn?

I will pass by as if we had never met,

your eyes will keep looking at me,

but my steps will not be able to stop.

There was a time,

I would come even with your hiccup,

I would listen to your silence without a word.

But when you betrayed me,

you gave me a chance to be silent.

I endured so much pain,

but no sigh escaped my lips.

I covered myself with a blanket of silence,

or perhaps I turned away from life, wrapped in a white sheet.

Dang this was so sad but also powerful of you taking control of being treated better, and knowing what you deserve. Love the realness of it. Great writing.
