‘I’m late! I’m going to get fired, oh my —’

“Oh my god, a puppy! Can I —”

‘I never fed the dog this —’

‘This could have been sent in an email.’

“Email my professor that I can’t —”

‘I can’t breathe. I can’t think. I need it quiet, please!’

“Please, clean your room! I’ve been asking all —”

“All I want is someone I can just be with, someone normal!”

Normal...

Normal is panic,

Panic is pain,

Pain is laughed at ---

At least I am aware of this.

This isn’t normal to you?

You think I enjoy it?

It sucks and I’m tired all the time!

Time! Time is not real.

Really! Its like my mind

Is a speeding bullet train

And I cannot catch it

And there’s a million other trains

And they are all crashing into each other

And I am so painfully aware of everything that

My bones buckle, my heart clenches,

My lungs stutter a breath

With each and every collision

And I go to sleep every night begging,

Crying to whatever God made me

For normal!

Normal? Normal is noisy.
