The Nobody.

A lonely poem

By Layson WilliamsPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Nobody thinks of him

Nobody wonders of him

Nobody cares for him

Nobody wants to know him.

He is a nobody,

Stuck in a hopeless world

That is so nearsighted.

It becomes a part of you

After a few years,

The faces

The fists

The tears

The insults-

Oh, how they are generous!

Even his family gives freely!

They give it all to nobody

And it is never shared.

Nobody wants to be nice.

Nobody wants some advice.

Nobody wants a new friend.

But nobody wants a nobody around

To talk to, to learn from,

To teach things, to feel for…

And now nobody thinks,

Because nobody is around,

That nobody deserves

What nobody gets.

He is just a nobody

In a nearsighted world

Looking on the surface

Ignoring the wonders

Dying deep below.

He is a pathetic

Stupid little nobody

Who was sentenced to Life

In this self-centered world

But is now on Death Row

And is guilty of nothing-

Guilty of nothing.

Fitting for a nobody.
