The Night's Unwritten Letter

Just shine for those who need them most

By The 9x FawdiPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

The sun has tucked itself in bed,

Its warm, bright stories done and read.

But now another page is turned,

A lesson that the night has learned.

For pinned upon the velvet deep,

The starry secrets vigil keep.

They do not shout, they do not boast,

Just shine for those who need them most.

That one's a diamond, sharp and clear,

And that one, just a silver spear.

They form a bear, a queen, a swan,

A cosmic, silent caravan.

The moon hangs like a lantern low,

With its familiar, gentle glow.

A friendly face to light the way,

And turn the darkest night to day.

And if you're patient, you might see,

A wish race by, so fast and free.

A streak of light, a fleeting grace,

That hurries through the endless space.

So when the world feels vast and wide,

With nowhere left for you to hide,

Just look upon that starry sea,

And feel how small your worries can be.

For you are part of it, you see,

This great, big, cosmic family.

The same stardust that fuels the sun,

Is in you, now, till life is done.

The night has written you a letter,

To make you feel a little better.
