The New Age

Twenty-two years...

By Kayton HickenlooperPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Twenty-two years

I leave away

It is time to start a new day

Tired

Beaten

Even bruised

Life has a way

To make you feel used

Strength you gain

And patience you endure

I'm at a place

That I've never knew before

A new beginning

Of saying goodbye

I'm living life

In a brand new way

Troubled times

A tattered mess

I know I can do this

I will do my best

Deep inside

I feel the pain

I look up to the sky

And feel the rain

So very thankful of this day

To sing my song

My way

About the Creator

Kayton Hickenlooper

I write to clear my mind. To get out of the fog of daily confusion. An artist by heart. To live, laugh, and grow.
