The Mysterious Package
A Poem of Suspense and Intrigue

In the land of make-believe, where anything can be,
There lived a little girl, as sweet as sweet can be,
But there was something strange, about her curious mind,
For every story told, she left a twist behind.
One day she met a wolf, in the woods so deep and dark,
And as he growled and snarled, she listened with a spark,
For she knew that in his tale, there lay a twist so rare,
And so she listened closely, with her wide eyes, full of stare.
The wolf told his story, of how he chased his prey,
And how he loved to feast, on the creatures he would slay,
But the little girl just smiled, and shook her curly head,
For she knew that in this tale, there was a twist ahead.
She asked the wolf one thing, before he went away,
If he had ever thought, to change his evil ways,
The wolf was quite surprised, and thought it quite absurd,
But the little girl just smiled, with a cunning little word.
She told the wolf a tale, of how a hunter, once like he,
Had changed his wicked ways, and now he was quite free,
The wolf thought for a moment, and then he gave a sigh,
For in the little girl's twist, he saw a new way to try.
And so they walked away, from the woods so deep and dark,
The wolf now on a journey, to make a brand new start,
The little girl just smiled, as she skipped along her way,
For in every story told, she left a twist that day.
