"The musical Poem" By: Jess.A.Fox (J.A.F)

*Here's a pandemic Poem,

*Poem of getting to know.

* It's time to Zen out,

*here's how ill do it too:

*Looking to do a mediation

*or maybe ill stretch the knots out,

*or escape from reality,

*to a self-loving relation route.

*I can pray and make music.

*Doing so makes me feel like the first time I heard "Nobody supposed to be here" From Deborah Cox

*She sparked that interest, oh what a voice but of course Britney Spears on a "ops I did it again" tops.

*But then came the singing to NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and "Candy" Aron Carter

*Parent on a here she goes again, banging getting louder.

*Had me feeling like a star,

yes dressed up to perform too.

*Picture young 7 me, Jumping off a dresser,

had to get extra for my toy mic too.

*But wait, oh wait, a little memory

from when I was five or six:

*On repeat Shaggy "Angel"

*Driver got annoyed of our rewinds,

so repeat the song on one disc.

*Without that song, our day was not the same.

That switch bus,

I want Shaggy back insane.

*Now talking sane,

let's talk of the days I started to control my temper.

*Christina Aguilera "Beautiful" on repeat to remove the bullying pain I allowed cause no return to 7D or Llyal was better.

*Yeah she was my first CD purchase,

Then Luda, Nelly, and Flipmode to follow;

*On a BlueBerry Yum Yum, Sweat, and Suit, and I got your back,

felt like a rapping car, my fellow.

*Than, of course, we go to my serious writing days,

Lost those books and some lyrics to others,

but at least my words in the game.

*Had me feeling like Drake "Over" or "Headlines" to top,

or pop in that Mary Mary "Walking", "Get Up" or "God in me" cause Jess.A.Fox can never be stopped.

*Okay I can

so now let's go to when I had my major low,

*Won't share the story

but Marvin Sapp "Best in me"

here for the come through.

*Through the pain and coping,

you know Eminem "Whatever you say I am" follows

*On a story Switch up,

watch me different, 50Cent "Many men" hard to swallow.

*Now I can go on about different songs and effects for days

*But those hit harder,

like Kehlani Crzy and that's no lies, I'm saying.

*And if that ain't justice

Kirk Franklin "Smile" and "Melodies from heaven" do,

On my Jason mighty because "Praise I do"

*When I got accepted to Vanier,

felt like J.long "woman of God"

Prayed for it and it came through

not bad for a dyslexia/ ADHD,

going nowhere haaaaann

*But talking of going Nowhere let's talk about my first loves

*First and only man

teen days had me on a Monica "A dozen Roses" love

still wants me so he forever a friend

*Which brings me to my first girl Genuine "differences"

*Tattoed her name and her lips too

*Madly in love,

we were that Jody, Yvette Dude.

*On a hurt her, I'm going to jail,

reverted but at least she supports me through the hell

*Which brings me to our final song

Vedo "Yvette", explains it well.

*But like I loved my formers,

I loved and love my friends hell

*Talking J.Cole "Middle Child"

I'll front you a stack.

*But most importantly is Tupac "Mama" and "Laugh now, cry later" Drake man.

*The come up for all moods,

them twos is the G.O.A.T.

*Like me they act and sing,

can't get any better,

oh, they great.

*On my R.I.P to Nipsey

his "Racks in the middle" have me feeling like life continues to get better

*On my Guy "I like" cause I like me and I ain't lying man,

I make me feel better

*So on a closing Summary of a pandemic poem,

Kirk Franklin "Revolution" Shining harder and that's for sure what's showing.

performance poetry
