The Music Eye

Anything one looks at can be the next best tune

The Music Eye

An eye looks out

through falling notes,

as music curls

around the skin.

The lashes sweep

like strokes of ink,

where melodies

begin to rise.

The notes fall soft

in scattered lines

like whispered tunes

that fade and stay.

They twist and climb

through quiet thoughts,

through hidden ache

behind the gaze.

The eye holds storms

of silent hurt,

of aching songs

that never rest.

Each marking moves

with gentle shake

with stories kept

in shadows deep.

I see the truth

within that shine,

a heart laid bare

through drifting sound.

And in that gaze

the music breathes,

the music heals,

the music stays.

Music adds a lot to one's living life and letting us show our feelings one way or another. Music makes the world go around. Good job.

I love this, Marie. The poem is awesome! And your cover photo pulled me in the instant I signed in and saw it. I once took acid in the 1980s and saw music fly out of a stero speaker, then out a window. I've been intrigued by crossed senses ever since. You're a true artist. ⚡️🫶
