The Muse's Maze
Wonderland Challenge day 22 "Maze"

Giving every last beat of my
Replenishing heart
Surrendering to the
Redemptive score of
Inspiration's reflective spark
I swim oceans of resting thought
In search of
Her face, her voice
Her boundless art
I wander the wilderness
An endless liminal expanse
Joyfully pursuing her infinite
Hidden retreat
Coming upon it as in a
Willing trance
The past, once an empty void
Rows of snowing TVs
Threatening to suck me in
Lull me to sleep
Now showing stilted movies
Recut and skipping
The lilting melody
Inside
pulling at my tender
Tendons and heartstrings
Leading me on a slow motion
Sprint down rows
Around curving hedges
Through a spectrum of
Nostalgic weather
To musing's core
A metaphor
Labyrinthine
I'll wander for all time
In a dizzying maze of
Reminissance and
Progressive bliss
Walls shoot up where
None grew hitherto
Towering above me
Wielding chalk in
Writing hand
Marking every trigger
Noting every wild imagining
Now my trek has begun
It's not about reaching the
Other end
Revelation is born from
The eternal vigil
Pacing the Muse's maze

I adore mazes & enjoyed your take on the prompt. Liked: “Labyrinthine I'll wander for all time In a dizzying maze of Reminissance and Progressive bliss“✅
This is so beautiful, K.B. There's a typo in the 7th line
