The Moonlit Stranger
You stepped through silver shadows,
As if the night bowed down,
Your presence held a fire,
Your stare held something wild.
I felt my heartbeat shift,
Caught between fear and want,
I reached without a thought,
As if you called my name.
The night wrapped round your shape,
Like it knew you long before,
You moved with quiet purpose,
You moved like you belonged.
Each moment felt enchanted,
Each breath felt pulled to you,
I wondered where you came from,
And why you came to me.
Your touch changed all the air,
Your voice sank into mine,
I felt the world grow smaller,
Until it fit our hands.
You held secrets in your silence,
You hid answers in your gaze,
A stranger born of moonlight,
Who found me in the dark.
Still I follow where you lead,
Along the edge of night,
Unsure of what awaits,
Yet certain of your pull.
The moon still guards your shape,
The dark still knows your name,
And I remain the witness,
To the stranger made of light.
