The Moon Writes in Silver

For the moon writes not just for the sky

By Raymond BentumPublished about a year ago 1 min read

The moon writes in silver on the velvet night,

A script of whispers, soft and light.

Its pen, a beam that strokes the sky,

Tracing dreams where shadows lie.

It speaks in curves, in arcs that gleam,

Weaving tales through the quiet stream.

A sentinel of the ebb and flow,

Guiding hearts where they must go.

Each phase, a lesson, a quiet refrain,

In fullness, joy; in loss, the pain.

It teaches that even in waxing's retreat,

Beauty resides where the cycles meet.

Upon still waters, its letters dance,

A shimmering ode to fleeting chance.

The stars lean close, in hushed delight,

To read the moon's soft verse each night.

For in its glow, a wisdom lies,

A mirror held to searching eyes.

It shows us paths both near and far,

And whispers, "Know who you are."

Through silver threads, it binds the earth,

To mysteries vast, to hope, to rebirth.

A cosmic poet, serene, aglow,

Writing truths we’re yet to know.

So gaze aloft, where the stories glimmer,

Let silver's glow make your spirit shimmer.

For the moon writes not just for the sky,

But for every soul with dreams to fly.
