The moon, the stars and the sky

Shadows in the moonshine

The moon, the stars and the sky,

How it all glistens at night,

The twinkle of meteors,

The fading of light,

The way it glints through the panes of glass, silent as mice.

Reaching out over the world,

In which we all live together as one,

Sharing an umbrella of precious diamond spots above,

No one looking up enough to see,

Each and every star that is shining bright for you, and for me.

In a world of hurry, expectations and deadlines, we all forget the precious night sky,

Quietly holding us all on earth, like a blanket, or safety net of worth.

Should we stop, take breath and sit,

Embrace the darkness after all the daily wit,

We’d see the shine of shooting star-wishes,

Of dreams dancing out and soft night kisses,

We’d be more content below if we just looked above and slowed,

We’d be more cautious of losing this life, if we just thought more,

Though more about about those,

Those that are the light,

We lost on them earth in the blackout moonshine.
