The Monstrosity of My Tongue Is Not Yours

Is not yours

By Ariana GonBonPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

And so where does this leave you?

A dark corner of my heart shown to you

You can sit here with me

Feel the warmth under body hair I don’t shave

You can kiss me

Ask if I will grant you my lips

They are for the taking

Only so I can have everyone else’s

Yet

You cannot have my tongue

.

My tongue lashes out

Gets out of the way of my screams

Sucks my teeth as I try to hold it still

Does not like the feel of slime on it

(Doesn’t want the competition)

Bites back

Curses

Lies

Licks

Leaving marks on tasted collarbones

Likes to slip against another

.

Where will my tongue lead you?

To sin

To monstrosity

To the key of misery

locked in my mouth

They will call you a sinner

They will call you a heathen

You will enjoy the insults

You will enjoy where my tongue takes you

You will not have it to yourself

It is not yours

Odeslam poetry
