The Monster Who Took Her Place.

She was me all along.

By NalaPublished about 2 hours ago 1 min read

For so long I was the “good girl”.

They would’ve thought peacemaker was my middle name.

I think that girl got ran over so many times

Eventually she died.

Now they’re searching for her

And they say a monster took her place.

I say maybe she got tired of carrying the backs of ingrates.

She got sick of all the bull shit she was fed.

Into darkness,

She was led.

She ripped herself open,

Inside and out,

To discover who she truly was.

She wasn’t the name she was called.

She wasn’t the face she was given.

She was me.

The monster who took her place.
