The Modern Way A poem by: Jewelleah Lisa

There’s chaos in a world of haste

running rampant - in your face!

taking everything for granted

chopping down the trees I’ve planted!

Side-effects for every action

selfish, needful satisfaction

surfing in a world wide web

with tides of info through your head.

A super-info- highway-hell

where traffic jams, are now, for sale?

And people buy them! anyway....

it feeds the fire, we obey.

Teaching us to be resolved

counting life to be ‘evolved’

until we vote away our rights

then wonder,

“Who turned out the lights”?
