Shouldn’t all wages be a liveable wage?

Enough money to buy the essentials

Food, clothes, and a roof over your head

Because every job is always essential

But why can’t you live off minimum wage?

They are the essential jobs in this pandemic

Putting their health on the line for you

So for them to earn so little is not ethic

You say that they should get a better job

Even though all jobs have their purpose

We place the importance of a job on income

But in the end, each job creates a service

Each job is always going to be hard work

There are pressures and stresses involved

Minimum wage does more than the minimum

So why is the minimum wage problem unsolved?

Why do they have to work multiple jobs?

Just so they can support themselves and family

It just adds more to their already stressful lives

To live comfortably has become their life’s fantasy
