The Messenger

A Poem

By Steven BaldryPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

The Messenger.

As I walk the path of this journey I have chosen...

Alone but happy with a smile upon my face.

I am touched by the warmest words that are spoken...

Moving gracefully ahead in a leap of faith.

The wings of Angels gently pass on by...

As a feather falls & captures my eye.

A shiver runs down the length of my spine...

As I am aware that I am alive.

I watch your tears leave & slide down your cheek...

As I listen with my heart to all that you speak.

In silence the answer warms from my core.

As I reveal your questions like never before.

Is there a truth within the make believe ?

Are we part of life's tapestry as the creators weave ?

Merely playing out an empty meaninglessness part ?

Or is there so much more to find within the heart ?

There Is a whole other world...

If only we could all see.

If only we all had the time...

To allow ourselves to believe.

We don't need to worry.

We don't need to be afraid.

We can move on in the future.

The past does not have to be replayed.

I offer validation...

But your own faith is the cost.

Your own faith can save you...

It's all that can save you when you're lost.

Why should you listen to me ?

I hear you say without reading your mind.

Well, I am a soul who now sees so much beauty...

Where I was once colour blind.

Take it or leave it.

I walk on happy all the same.

With faith in myself.

The Messenger's my name.
