The Meaning Of Love

The Meaning Of Love

Love is not just a fleeting word,

A whispered sound too often heard.

It’s roots that anchor through storm and strife,

The binding force that nurtures life.

It’s in the gaze that needs no voice,

In silent hearts that made a choice.

To stand together, hand in hand,

Through shifting tides, on shifting sand.

It’s in the warmth of a gentle touch,

In giving all and asking much.

Not for the self, but for the other,

Love’s true form is to uncover.

It lives in patience, thrives in care,

It weaves a bond that’s pure and rare.

It’s joy in moments, big and small,

And faith that answers every call.

It’s found in sacrifice unseen,

In acts both humble and serene.

In holding on when times are tough,

In knowing that “we” is enough.

Love is the light that guides the way,

The hope that greets each dawning day.

It’s endless, boundless, always true,

The meaning of love is simply you.

Thank you for reading!
