Little bumble, tell me where you've been
Black and yellow, tell my what you've seen
Zipping and diving you are quite the sight
Busy and blinding from morning to night
What is your purpose tireless bee
Tell me, please tell me... I just do not see
How you can work so
All of your life
Where is the love
Where's the respite
The bee stopped a buzzing and rested just there
On the edge of a flower
Dampened by monsoonal air
"I will tell you my secret, lost child, you'll see
I'll tell you, it's simple just follow me.
The bee flew into the air and i followed so quickly
It looped and then dived as i ran oh so briskly
It settled right unto a morning glory blossom
It wiggled and squirmed and i found it quite awesome
It came covered with pollen from its top to its bottom
"See here" said the bee
"This is the stuff of life"
Lean in next to me and check out what it’s like
I drew near to the blossom, the aroma quite splendid
I drew in a deep breath feeling heady, undefended
It took me aback how sweet and divine
The blossom was gorgeous, serene and sublime
"The beauty of life" said that sweet little bee
Is that i get to this, that this flower needs me
I go flower to flower spreading life through the field
I go hour by hour collecting my yield
So don’t lament for me if you think i am fettered
My life has great meaning, no need to be tethered
to thoughts unfulfilled, these choices with purpose
I live life every moment, skimming the surface
Dive deep in each flower
Taste nectar, libations,
drink deep in your life and you too find salvation
For you have great meaning in all that you are
From the top of your head to the depth of your heart.
