How has technology affected you?
I realize the pull of the mountain.
Electricity powers the views, too.
There’s a woman, career, and the fountain.
Social wasps sting through the skin of the shoe.
They walk amongst the dead in all the rooms.
To take time to dial was the entry.
Games and sites die with errors and make tombs.
The techie plays the role of the sentry.
Comments parts spurn the idea of glee.
There remains a distance between the vault.
It’s like a sap-saturated elm tree.
It is the keyboard gangster’s bitter fault.
Inside there is good and gives off some hope.
It can allow people to heal and cope.

Smartystan
Chanda sent home money every two weeks. In a small village in India, she deposited money into the bank account of her aunt and uncle who sent her to live in America. The place seemed so remote, almost cut off from the rest of the country. There, a festival took place where participants hurled cow eliminations at each other. The muddy, mucky sense of it had been known for centuries. Locals tied it to an ancient god who they believed restored people’s health with the cow plops. During the festival, thick patties passed through the air and smushed into the bodies and faces of those rollicking around in the filth.
