The man with a alien tattoo

The man with an alien tattoo

walks through the dark without a word

ink alive against his skin

symbols no one can read

They say he saw the sky open

a ship with no sound

a shadow that swallowed the night

and left its mark on him

He carries it like a curse

or maybe a key

lines that shift when the moon is high

etched deeper than blood or bone

Some claim they saw it glow

casting light across his arm

a warning or a promise

none can decide

Children whisper when he passes

elders turn their eyes away

for they know some marks

are not meant for man

Now the tattoo burns in silence

glows when the stars turn strange

as if the craft above

still calls his name

No one stands too close

his story is never told

only the sight of moving lines

on a man who does not sleep.

Nice one, Marie. That is some tattoo!! I don't get the modern trend to have a complete arm or leg or entire body covered in tattoos. I must be getting old.

I love how the tattoo feels like both a curse and a secret power. 👽✨
