He made a little girl cry

The Man Who Shouted At Children

The big tall man shouted, his voice filled with fright,

At little children, their faces a pale sight.

They didn’t understand the harsh words he spoke,

A torrent of anger, a cruel, bitter joke.

What a horrible man, so filled with scorn,

His words like sharp thorns, causing only pain.

The children, so small, tried to hide from his glare,

Wishing for kindness, for someone to care.

But as one child cries, hope begins to rise,

For kindness is louder than any cruel cries.

A lady came and took her aside,

“The bad man’s gone now,” she gently replied.

“Why did he shout at you?” the lady inquired.

“Because I splashed him,” the little girl said.

“Well, you’re safe now; the man has gone.

Let’s take you home, my lovely, to your mom.

It is hard to believe that this really does happen now-a-days. We are not all like that man in the poem. Good job.
