Day after day

Night after night

The man on the hill

Is keeping perfectly still

Slowly he opens his mouth

And he begins to speak

Splash in my water

All that you want

But stay out of the deep

Where the light will not reach.

His grin slowly grows

It reaches from ear to ear

He's got a secret

He will soon share with the world

For in that dark water

There lives a monster

He speaks to you again

Ever so slowly

Come here little child

Let me tell you my secret

Let me warn of the monster

Who lives in my waters

He leads you to the water

He throws you in the deep

You cannot move

You're frozen from fear

Slowly you start to sink

Further and further down you go

You wake from the fear

Safe in your bed

Yet you still see his grin

It's there in the dark

Slowly it fades into the black

And this man you thought disappeared

Was never really there
