The Man In Black

Poem

By Kieko Kazi Published 6 years ago 1 min read

He draws his sword from his back putting it out straight by his side. He stared at his opponent in all white.

His opponent looks determined to take the man’s life.

That wasn’t going to happen tonight.

With the stars beaming and moon shining over the endless field. It was time for a fight.

He ran with his opponent doing the same. Their swords clashed with a slash.

The night so soundless made the swords sound so loud.

As the rain starts to pour the man’s opponent slid; the man smirked behind his black mask and waited for him to stop.

Once he stopped the man rushed towards the man in white.

The man in black pulled his sword up in front of his face and slid to a stop with the large knife to the man’s neck. He leaned in by his ear and whispered, “The things you did was not that was taught... Forgive me brother for you had sinned and with your sin has to fade away with another.”

With that the man pushed and pulled his sword away, leaving his brother on the ground lifeless and stained in red cloth.
