The man behind the moon

the angel sun

By Tyler BricePublished 3 months ago 1 min read
The golden sun (my star)

I fell in love with the man on the moon

and crossed the sky to find him

I landed there to find no man

just the star behind him

I asked the moon, why do you hide

a man so fair and fine?

The moon said nothing

so I asked the star

Please, oh please be mine

He pulled the halo from his head

he had fashioned to a ring

Pulled me in to hold me tight

beneath his golden wing

He said, even in the dark my love

you never left my sight

and placed the ring upon me

before he kissed me with his light

love poems
