The Majesty of the Senses
A Poetic Celebration of Sight, Sound, Touch, Taste, and Smell
Oh senses, how doth thou grace us so?
In thy wondrous ways, thou doth bestow
The gifts of sight, of sound, of touch,
Of taste and smell, oh how much
The beauty of a sunset's hue
A sight so lovely, a dream come true
The rustling of the leaves so green
A symphony of nature, a peaceful scene
The feel of velvet, a feather's touch
A gentle caress, oh how much
A kiss so sweet, a lover's embrace
A moment in time, a cherished place
The taste of honey, a fruit so ripe
A flavor explosion, a pure delight
The scent of roses, a perfume so rare
A fragrance to cherish, a memory to share
Oh senses, thou art the gateway
To a world so rich, a world so great
With thee, we see, we hear, we feel
With thee, we taste, we smell, we reel
So let us celebrate, let us rejoice
In the gifts of the senses, let us make a choice
To cherish, to savor, to live and be
To experience life in all its majesty
