The Magic Between The Pages
Come escape with me
The world is truly a magical place
Each night we lay down with hope,
That we’ll see another dawn rising
As we balance on life’s tightrope.

There are days that are sheer bliss
Times where you are kicked hard,
Still others where you have to fight
Many days that leave you scarred.
***
We find love in unexpected places
Betrayal we process in total shock,
Friendships that helps us through
When we hit hard rock after rock.
***
We do all we can for each other
Treasuring the moments we share,
Hoping to stall that end of our time
While fighting and living with care.
***
There are times when we wonder
Will we ever get through the pain,
If we will ever see the sun shining
As it pours rain again and again.
***
On those days I hide away alone
Knowing that I’m battling to cope,
I open the pages of a good book
Anticipating the escape and hope.
***
As I open those first few pages
Magic escapes in a ray of light,
Surrounding me with my dreams
Helping me succeed in my fight.
