The Loud Silence In Wonderland…

A tale As Old As Time.

By Linda grace rabiePublished 10 months ago 2 min read
Choose A Path Alice!

The deafening sound of silence,

A ringing in the ears, tinnitus,

After a night clubbing.

A Hum of Silence.

The loudness of the music,

Ears accustomed.

Now, the silence is louder than the noise.

It's late, the clock tick toks.

The white rabbit runs in a hurry.

Late.

But where is Alice ...

What is there to gain.

Silence.

Light or Dark, Alice contemplates in shades of Grey.

Pain.

Separation Anxiety.

LOSS.

What is their to gain...

Thoughts. Isolation. Tridemtation

Paths, many...

Could she walk all.

Impossible ... I'mPossible.

A maze. A labyrinth.

Infinite Entryways. Infinite Exits.

Which way to traverse.

Alice.

Rabbit.

Hatter.

Cheshire Cat.

The big wolf.

Switch

Mixed tales.

Madness. Stillness.

A tale Unknown. Yet to be unraveled.

What shall be learnt. Anew.

A tale as old as Time

The spiral

Confusion

Alice wondered if to take the high road or low

Which Was the way...

The white rabbits duplicated

So many to chase

Directions,

time running ... the clock tick toked with every step ...

Primordial oceans filled by her tears...

Oh wait for me she chased after time itself

To no avail

The clock... time, didnot stop ...

The masses swarmed ... under the ocean ...

Above

Within the fire..

Shadows lurked ...

They watched ....

Alice reached above, hand stretched, hoping to be saved by the family that condemned

She didn't know what to do with her pieces...

Scattered and shattered...

They lurked ...

controlled by primitive needs ...

Gluttony, lust, greed... the deadly sins... envy, pride, anger...

She ultimately became sloth...

Exhaustion and saddened...

Left her empty while they filled her...

She observed In disbelief...

All she loved were just thieves!

Play

Play

Play ... with me ...With us...

kin... don't you see.

Bring me home to play, bring me home your way... bring me home

She spoke, emptied... emotionless ... not a sound nor whisper on her breath ...

Daddy... where have you gone...

Lover... where have you gone ...

Beloved ... where have you gone...

Family... where have you gone...

Left in your mess, I became it.

I miss you...

my heart is cold as my hands and feet.

My love is froze,

My body aches in wanton heat!

Why did you send me here to die, why did you want me to burn alive

Yet I survive, survive, survive...

Ships set sailed Flights long gone

She cried, she cried, she cried ... (oh no not more water they screeched)

Soul On Fire,

A floating flame.

She cried, she cried, she cried ...

A long way from home
