The Lost Puppy
He is now home safe the bus driver saved the day

The Lost Puppy
A puppy wandered, small and shy,
Beneath the vast and cloudy sky.
With floppy ears and soulful eyes,
He searched for love, to no surprise.
The streets were loud, the world so wide,
The puppy’s heart ached deep inside.
He sniffed the air, he chased the breeze,
But found no friend to put him at ease.
then, on the road now coming passed
A bus came by, a familiar sight at last
He had been on a bus before with glee
He thought, please will you stop for me
The driver halted, opened the door,
He called out oh no, “you’re Lost, for sure?”
The puppy’s paws climbed up the stair,
He found new hope and comfort there.
Eventually bus stopped by a garden wall
Lost put found the driver began to call
A little girl came running to the bus so fast,
And hugged the puppy, he was home at last.
The happy driver drove the bus away,
Its deed fulfilled, a free ride, no fare to pay.
The puppy’s “Thank You,” was a happy bark,
A promise of joy, forever to mark.

First that image is so cute, and this would make a great story poem for preschoolers and Kindergarteners.
