The losing party

Not red nor blue...

To choose a side is to lose.

to do so, so the other one loses, is a loss.

The first, to the opposition.

The latter, a loss of sight.

The bigger picture still suffers...

papers pushed save no planet.

Who really wins, though?

and I mean this with sincerity and clarity, of mind and heart respectively.

Gaia still cries and not a tissue is passed,

nor a scribbled note in her favor signed

or space for her to decide,

through time, what is right.

yet passed by a curious eye

kind enough to sigh and raise the question:

“what’s really worth saving?”

Dignity, morals, and ethics

or FaceTime provocative aesthetics?

For which we only see the surface.

The character of all (a judgment) decided upon by one face,

the planet is the one this democracy votes against, faceless.

In silent corridors where trees once stood tall and provided food and home to all, now hold wake as we await to see if there is a possibility for more stimulation to create the same vivacious spaces as live groves and ripened fruit once did.

...and not a single stipend could we kidd,

would ever shift the balance in any way to profit,

truly profitable.

How long can we pretend that are triumphs themselves are our greatest obstacle?

Choose love,

serve and be served

as we deserve,

feed and be fed,

until we are dead.

for then

we are the feed, freed.

The only prophecy I foresee

For me...

and you?
