The Loon

(Reflections of Life)

By M. W. Lemongello

Once upon a time there was a Man who lived life like a Loon.

He'd slip slide through the Gello with his Silver Spoon.

Soaking up the Sun basking in it's ray's, quite satisfied with himself all the live long day.

He soared like an Eagle to the Heavens up above, Skies of Blue filling up his eyes.

Not a care in the world, no he wasn't shy.

Boastful & loud, he put on a show for the crowd and ate up their applause.

The Sun was shining, the days were long, and before he knew it his time was gone.

His Eagle's wings had folded, his Gello spoon had molded.

No blue skies, no more sunny days.

The poor Loon just faded into the Haze...

If only someone had told him, not to pick the Four-Leaf clovers.

Once upon a time... And now the story's over.
