The Longing for a Lost Love

But now, that love has slipped away, Leaving emptiness, in its wake today. I feel the pain of what's no more, And long for you, I can't ignore.

Once we danced in fields of gold,

With love and laughter, our story told.

We whispered secrets in the night,

With hearts aglow, our love in sight.

But now, that love has slipped away,

Leaving emptiness, in its wake today.

I feel the pain of what's no more,

And long for you, I can't ignore.

The memories of you still linger on,

In my heart, they will forever be drawn.

I ache to hold you, just once more,

To feel the love we had before.

But fate has dealt us a different hand,

And now I'm left with nothing but sand.

I'll keep on hoping, and keep on trying,

To find my way back to you, my darling.
