The Lonely Wanderer
A Poem of Searching for Home and Love in the Night

The Lonely Wanderer
He wanders through the empty streets
With nothing but his thoughts to keep him company
The moon, his only guiding light
A solitary figure in the darkness of the night
He walks the roads less traveled
Where the shadows dance and the winds howl
And the echoes of his footsteps fade
Into the stillness of the night's embrace
His heart aches with a longing
For a place he's never known
A home that he's yet to find
A love that's yet to be shown
He yearns for a kindred spirit
To share in his journey's plight
A companion to stand by his side
And guide him through the endless night
But until that day arrives
He'll continue on his way
A lone wanderer in the night
Searching for the light of day
And though his path may be uncertain
And the road may be long and hard
He'll keep on walking, ever forward
With hope in his heart, and a dream to guard
For he knows that somewhere out there
His destiny awaits him still
A future bright with promise
And a love that's yet to be fulfilled.
