Echoes of Longing in the Stillness of Solitude

The lonely heart beats softly in the night,

Longing for a love that feels so right.

It aches with every passing hour,

As it searches for its missing flower.

It yearns to feel the touch of a hand,

To know that someone understands.

The loneliness is hard to bear,

The heart can't help but wonder where,

Where is the one who will make it whole,

Who will fill the empty space and soul.

The lonely heart keeps beating on,

In hopes that love will soon be born.

And in the darkness of the night,

The lonely heart still shines so bright.

For even though it's lost and torn apart,

It still has hope in its beating heart.
