The lightness of water

The fullness of life

It glimmers

And glides,

Soft as a stolen kiss in the night,

^^

Sensually as a snake

Through the ripples

It creates,

Then carries on to find another tale.

^^

It shimmers

Shining in the sinews of the

Silent sun

That infuses

The glorious palette

With promise

With life, with renewal.

^^

Until it stops.

^^

Having heard the laughter

Of children

Playing by its shore.

In this happy world

Lie the dreams of tomorrow

Of forever.

So glad you are writing again. You have been missed. The line "Until it stops" hits a gong. I love the imagery of the silent sinews of the sun. You express a vast range of emotion in this short poem.
