The Light Within
The Unconscious

I stand alone in the darkness
This forest of emptiness surrounds me
And the sky almost threatening and starless
Yet I feel free
There is a small light regardless
Is it a lantern I see?
I walk towards it careless
I know it is I who shall be
In search of hope however godless
Quietly I spot a foreboding tree
Can nature be so heartless
That it simply cannot let me be?
The lantern light appears again harmless
It shows me there is a guarantee
In life and my inner calmness
This beacon of peaceful tranquility
The lantern is my unconscious
In all it's perfect glory
