The Life of a Tortoise
Take life slow so you don't miss the light.
Imagine if you please, a tortoise with me.
It cannot climb a tree or fly like a bee, but the tortoise is happy and that's fine with me.
The Hare hops up to The Tortoise and asks, "Tortoise how are you happy moving so slow, not able to go where you want to go, not able to learn the things you want to know. Oh Tortoise, how are you happy moving so slow?"
The Tortoise looks up and says with a smile, "Why little Hare, I am learning and going all the while. While others enjoy living life by the mile, to me to miss something great leaves a taste most vile."
"So when something good, I write it down and I put it in a file. For when things go wrong or not my way, I can open my file to brighten my day."
"When people sprint though life what fills their file? They treat it more like a tick on a dial, something natural; not worthwhile. And when it goes downhill it hurts all the worse, they crumble like their life is a curse."
"So I offer my file, it's ready to burst. To not offer joy, now THAT is the worst."
"And so I sit back and watch their eyes glow, and that little Hare is why I go so slow."
