Have you heard, young sailor, the song of my ancestors?

A rhyme between waves

As we fly from the blue

to return to the depth

human eyes wouldn’t see

The gentle harmony

of fragile equilibria from ancient history

What did they chant?

A secret of the ocean,

passed down generations

Millions of years,

They couldn’t understand us

But not all is beauty

needs humans’ approval

Do not question

the wisdom of the sea,

too distant and immense

for them to deceive

At least once upon a time

Few continued to listen

To our secrets in rhymes

Deciphering our heartbreak

as the rest of the world

closed-off ears and eyes

Have you heard,

Young sailor,

The song of my ancestors,

Of the blue world who died before you…

So for you,

one last time,

I will whisper

The song of the giants of the ocean

for you to cry

over what your ancestors

drowned for eternity

...
