The Last Howl of Winter

***********
The pale moon rises, cold and bright,
A lone wolf howls through endless night
Its pack, once near, now far away
It now seeks the bond that's frayed
Pride whispers: "Forget them, leave them be."
But it feels the bite from the icy breeze.
As scents grow close, the truth unfolds
It left to face the frost alone
And now it bows to fate untold.

Nicely done
Gorgeous poem. Very nice. 😊
Ooooh, this is beautifully haunting! That last line hits hard—pride, loneliness, and the longing for connection all wrapped in a chilling winter night. Love it!
Awww, I wish I could give him a hug. Loved your poem!
