The Language of Us
A poem about the quiet, unspoken moments of love.

Love isn’t just the words we speak,
It’s the silence that makes us unique.
In every glance and every sigh,
It’s the moments when we don’t ask why.
It’s in the touch that lingers long,
In the spaces where we belong.
Love is the comfort in your gaze,
The kind of peace that never fades.
It’s the way we fit without a plan,
the way you see me, the way I am.
In the quiet, love’s voice is clear,
in every moment, far or near.
It’s in the laughter that fills the air,
and in the times we’ve learned to care.
It’s in the tears we’ve shared,
through every storm, we weather forever.
Love doesn’t always need to shine,
It’s in the shadows where it’s divine.
It’s in the late-night talks we share,
when we find comfort in just being there.
Love is the space between the words,
where unspoken truths are heard.
It’s in the days we’ve yet to live,
and in the moments we forgive.
Love isn’t always loud or bright;
It’s in the quiet, in the fight.
In the forgiveness we give each day,
in the ways we choose to stay.
It’s more than what we think we know,
it’s the feeling that continues to grow.
And in the language of us, so true,
I find my home in loving you.
