The Land of Gibberish

There once was a place called the Land of Gibberish, where the skies were so grey that the sun had no rays. “But why,” you might ask, “were the skies so grey that the sun had no rays?” Well, I will tell you why. The people of this place would barely show their face as they hurried to and fro to win the next race.

They wanted more cars and to be superstars. “We’ll take what is ours, no matter the scars!”

There was a day when the Land of Gibberish was once a beautiful land. The people ran free and giggled with glee. You could see their smiles for miles and miles. But the Gibberites forgot that when you build your own throne, it could very well mean that you’ll be living alone. And so it wasn’t long before they bemoaned that this world they had known had grown cold as stone.

But there was a young girl named Gaila. Gaila the Gibberite. She knew it was not right to see such a sight and fought the good fight to spread some new light. But try as she might to change the world’s plight, night after night she could not unite.

But then the day came, when all seemed the same, she discovered a nook with a little black book. With eyes opened wide she looked deep inside and found that the book contained words from a guide.

“If you use this small seed to commit a good deed, you’ll find that you’ll always have what you need.”

As she turned the next page you could hear her loud hollers. The scholars had left her twenty thousand dollars! Now, while this number is truly not low, what the girl didn’t know is this number would grow. This was no normal book that she found in the nook. With every good deed there’d be more for the need. This little black book would continue to fill, bill after bill with each quest to fulfill.

Gaila roamed down the street with a pep in her step. Her hope was now fueled by this precious new jewel.

She found as she went, there was so much to do. “If you look for a clue… maybe someone feels blue or needs a new shoe or knows not what to do… you’ll find a new way to make their day true.”

To the man in the street, who has no home, new shoes for his feet wherever he roams.

A bouquet of flowers did help to empower the woman facing her darkest hour.

A smile to show a moment of kindness, to remind us that we can uncover the blindness.

There was a young mother she found in the store. She helped buy her groceries and gave so much more.

Gaila found as she went, with each little cent, she spread so much love and showed good intent.

“But Gaila!” the people would ask as she gave, “Why give unto us when so much you can save?”

She raised up her eyes to the brightening skies and offered her answer to all their replies. It’s not what I have in my pocket that counts, but the fruit that is spread from so many accounts. If you give unto others as you have been given, you’ll find more to life than the life you’ve been living.”

So the people of Gibberish began to see clearly as they gave unto others in new ways so dearly. The skies became blue and the sun shined its hue as the people learned just what they could do.

The Gibberites went through such a great change, the people decided to find a new name. It is no longer called the old Land of Gibberish. They now welcome all to the new Land of Giverish.

As Gaila the Giverite looked all around, her heart swelled with joy to see new life abound.

So you see, in the end, if we all lend a hand, we could do so much more than we ever had planned.
